HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS FROM A MIRENA IUD?

The attorneys at Holland, Groves, Schneller & Stolze, LLC are currently investigating and handling lawsuits against Bayer for its misleading advertising and concealment of the dangerous side effects of its Mirena IUD (intrauterine device).  Despite a warning by the FDA in 2009 regarding Bayer’s failure to disclose safety and health risks, the Mirena IUD is still marketed to and inserted in women across America.

The Mirena IUD is a plastic T-shaped device initially approved as a form of easy-to-use birth control that lasted up to five years, and was later approved for heavy menstruation.  However, many women experienced dangerous side effects which Bayer failed to disclose, including:

  • Vaginal hemorrhage
  • Uterine perforation
  • Infection
  • Device  migration or dislocation
  • Device expulsion
  • Embedment of the IUD in the uterus or cervix
  • Internal scarring
  • Organ damage
  • Revision surgery
  • Hysterectomy
